Like many Canadian kids, Mike aspired to be a professional hockey player when he grew up. After a couple of injuries and a lack of talent quashed that dream at a young age, Mike decided his career goal was to work in professional sports. Mike attended Brock University and graduated with an Honours Bachelor of Sport Management degree in 2008. He then attended law school at Bond University and graduated with a Juris Doctor in 2011. Mike was called to the Ontario Bar in January 2013 and is currently practicing law, specializing in personal injury and motor vehicle accidents. As a lawyer, Mike has experience with client representation and management. He regularly participates in client negotiations and settlement conferences. He also frequently appears before the Ontario Superior Court of Justice.
When Mike is not working, he enjoys spending time with family and friends. He loves travelling and has visited countries in five continents. Mike has participated in some extreme activities including skydiving, white water rafting, black water rafting, glacier trekking and shark diving. He is a PADI certified scuba diver and has completed 13 dives to date. Mike plays ice hockey, baseball and beach volleyball. He is also a drummer and has been playing for 21 years.
