Alex has always had a passion for hockey and began playing the game at a young age. He played minor hockey for the Humber Valley Sharks, in both the NYHL and GTHL, and competed in various tournaments such as the Lake Placid tournament having the distinct privilege of playing on the 1980 Olympic rink.
While attending high school at St. Michael's College School, Alex developed a keen interest in the game of field lacrosse and played for both the Mimico Mountaineers and St. Michaels Blue Gaels, winning two C.I.S.A.A. and two O.F.S.A.A. gold medals. Alex's lacrosse career continued at Queen's University where he started in goal all four years, earning an All-Canadian Honourable Mention in 2013, and was named captain of the Queen's lacrosse team for the 2014-2015 season.
In addition to his hockey playing experience, Alex has experience working in this industry. In addition to being a Hockey Canada certified referee and timekeeper, Alex has served as a goaltending instructor at a recognized goalie school that works with elite GTHL goalies.
Alex graduated with an Honours Bachelor of Arts Degree from Queen’s University this summer and will be continuing his academic endeavours this fall in the Sports Management program at Brock University.
